Wood and Resin Coasters with The Northern Joinery

** Vaccination Requirement **As of September 22, 2021, Participants will need to be fully vaccinated (two doses plus 14 days) and provide their proof of vaccination along with photo ID, as per the Government of Ontario regulations.Individuals who cannot receive the vaccine due to medical exemptions will be permitted entry with a doctor’s note until recognized medical exemptions can be integrated as part of a digital vaccine certificate. No prior woodworking or resin experience is needed! In this workshop, you will learn how to build and prep a mold, select and layout wood, learn about mixing and pouring resin and pigments, and finishing your project by sanding and applying a food grade finish. All materials are included in the cost of the workshop. This includes wood, resin, mold materials, nitrile gloves, pigments/ colorant, mixing cups, sticks, sandpaper, and finishing oil.Note: You’ll take your beautiful pieces home, but the molds, torch, etc. will not go home with you. All product information will be shared should you wish to purchase for any future projects, and you will receive a 10% discount on your next purchase of materials from The Northern Joinery.Dress code: If you choose to wear long sleeves top then make sure the sleeves are not baggy or loose near the wrist as it will make working more difficult. With his works being widely touted as functional furniture art, his contemporary unique style and ability set The Northern Joinery apart from other conventional wood shops. Starting at a young age, David developed a passion for woodworking and he still carries that same passion and drive with him today. He is constantly looking for ways to innovate and push the boundaries of conventional furniture with unique designs, building one of a kind pieces for his clients.
