Artist Talk with Mike Bailey

Join us in the main floor gallery where Mike Bailey will give us a glimpse inside his process and inspiration as a photographer. This talk coincides with Mike's solo exhibition, which is in the main gallery from September 10th - October 4th. Please let us know that you are planning to be in attendance by registering for a FREE ticket.About the show:"We can only see light reflected off different surfaces with our eyes. It’s not a colour, It’s not a perspective, nor is it a shape or object. Our brain interprets the light from our eyes, and creates an image that we identify with and evokes an emotion. This can be different for everyone."Mike Bailey’s photography transcends “catching light” to a visual perspective and presentation sharing an emotion and story with his viewers. Mike’s artistic journey took off when the world of digital imaging became a passion. His desire of sharing his art took a path to displaying at local galleries, participating in art shows such as Muskoka Arts and Crafts, Coldwater Studio Tour and Images Studio Tour and in the U.S.A. He enjoys being part of the Orillia Art Community and participating with local art groups. He continues to find new places to catch light, teaching new photographers.
